You and your man are at a point in your relationship where you end your phone calls and each night with an exchange of "love yous," but lately he's been acting distant. You start to question your relationship and wonder if he is just giving you lip service. Against your will you begin to get nervous if his feelings are genuine. You need to be sure his words are true.
Look into these three aspects of your relationship to gauge if his words match his heart and find if he truly loves you.
Is it All About Him?
Is the relationship a one-way street? Your man may be with you because it is comfortable and because you treat him good, not because of love. You feel the need he has for the time being, but is he looking for long term? Is he only focused on his own well-being, always talking about himself and complaining about his problems? Analyze your conversation patterns; if you're not present in them, take it as red flag.
Is He Supportive of You?
Sure, guys aren't crazy about talking about feelings or dealing with tears, but does your man listen to your problems? Does he take an interest in things that concern you? Will he take a break from the X-Box to comfort you? If he can't handle your emotions, or doesn't even try to, his love is not strong enough to make this relationship work long term.
Will He Commit to You?
If he says he loves you but is not willing to date exclusively, he is lying. The man who is in love with you will want only you and won't be able to get enough of you. If he doesn't see the benefit of being with just you, then move on to someone who does.
