Let Love Expand Without Limits

A radio antenna emits circles of energy. Similarly, from our hearts, our feelings of love naturally want to expand.
The consciousness of a baby is not developed. Babies cannot understand beyond food. They are survival oriented. An infant is only thinking about its own desires and needs. Have you ever seen a compassionate infant? An infant that says, "What can I do for you?" The mother loves the child, but the child at the beginning does not even love the mother, it just wants to take from the mother.
But as the child grows a little older, its loving propensity begins to expand. Now it wants to share what it has with others, wants to play with others, and wants to develop relationships with others. First it develops real affection for its parents, and then it starts making friends and has affection for the friends. As it gets older, he/she starts identifying with, first the community, and then the nation. The affection may then expand to humanity, and even to all living beings.
So, the natural propensity of love is to expand, but why is there so much frustration in our attempts to find love? Rather, there is disunity within this world on every level: economically, politically, socially and even within the family. Why? Our Guru gave an example to answer this question. When you throw pebbles in a swimming pool, the circles expand to the brink of that pool. But if the circles have different centers, they will collide. Similarly, if the desire to find love of every person is expanding with different centers, all the circles will collide. The solution is to find a common centre. And what is the common centre? According to Bhagvad Gita, and according to every scripture in the world, God is that centre. If one learns to love God, one automatically will love the parts and parcels of God, and that includes every living entity.
